German Federal Award of Honour for Estate Winery AUGUST ZIEGLER (Pfalz)

Estate Winery AUGUST ZIEGLER from Maikammer in the Pfalz (Palatinate) has been awarded, at the Hambach Palace, Gemany's Federal Award of Honour.
The renowned Estate received the Ministry of Food and Agriculture Society's (BMEL) Federal Award from Secretary of State Peter Bleser and the German Agriculture Society's (DLG) President, Carl-Albrecht Bartmer.
This distinction is awarded to the acclaimed Wineries for their exceptional overall achievement in the recent German Agriculture Society's (DLG) Federal Awards of Honour, the highest of all Quality Wine Awards in the German Wine and Sparkling Wine industry.

"The acclaimed Wineries and Winegrowing cooperatives are absolute examples of an enterprising new wine culture. Passion, creativity and expertise in their field. Attributes for which German Wine is renowned worldwide.

The establishments with which the Federal Awards of Honour have been decorated, are the "Crème de la Crème" and may quite rightly so, consider themselves an Elite body of German Wine Ambassadors", was DLG President Carl-Albrecht Bartmer praise for this years' award winners.

The German Agriculture Society (DLG) Federal Wine Awards are the leading and most prestigious awards in the German wine and sparkling wine sector. Strict test criteria and a jury of especially schooled experts from all German wine growing regions, make this the most highly esteemed award, show casing only the best Germany's wines and sparkling wines. This year around 4.300 wines and sparkling wines from all German wine growing regions, were evaluated.
